The Perfect Day (Married!)

My wedding day could not have been more perfect! I woke up at 6 that morning to get ready because the ceremony was at 11. Me and my FMIL went to the hair salon and got our hair done, then immediately over to the house of my bridesmaids to do make up. Afterwards, my future in laws drove me to the ceremony site where FI was helping set up. I went into the building to change into my dress and that's when the nerves hit me. I couldn't stand still which had my brother laughing at me. Finally, I went to the bathroom to change and once I was in my dress, with the veil, the make up, the hair, I couldn't believe the transformation! I felt beautiful and everytime someone came into the bathroom, they would tell me how pretty i was.

So when it was time to walk out, the photographer snapped some photos of me and my family, bridesmaids, etc, then the line up began. I was so nervous and I caught a glimpse of my FI as he walked up to the altar with his men. He looked so handsome! So the music started and everyone started to file out. Then everyone rose for me as I walked out holding tightly on to my brother. And once I saw FI's face, I couldn't help but smile the biggest smile ever!

The ceremony was short and sweet. I realized I had forgotten my vows (as we were writing our own) and I just winged it as I stood there and so did he!! I didn't cry which I was thankful for because I was sure I would sob my eyes out lol.

The weather was perfect and after the ceremony came the pictures. That lasted for about an hour an a half and we were so ready to get out of the sun by that time! We went back to MIL and FIL's house for a small bite to eat and to wait until the reception at 5:30.

We were almost late to that thanks to forgetting a couple things but we got there and were finally able to sign our marriage license (as we forgot earlier at the ceremony to do it). Then we were introduced and we took our seats at the head table. My maid of honor gave her short speech and the best man gave about a 5 minute speech lol! (He was the brother of the groom and they are close). Then we ate the delicious food and danced the night away! The only thing that really went wrong (and it was a small thing) was the version of the song that we picked for the first dance wasn't right but we just swayed to it anyway.

I love being married and our honeymoon to the Bahamas was great!
