for us...anyone we paid full price for were included in the minimum.  So as long as we paid for 175 meals at full price we were fine...we could included children and vendors.

Children and vendors are half price for me... So would two children count as one adult?

Children (even though half) were part of minimum (we had over but even so they told us that) vendors no.

I stand corrected....yes, we were able to count 2 children or 2 vendors as 1 towards our minimum.    We didn't end up having to do this because we were over our minimum but not that you said that I remember that being discussed.

Jamie--definitely talk to your venue and see what they can do.   Maybe they will let you count your vendors and kids at half price, you never know unless you ask.

True. I definitely will. I'm going to wait another 2 weeks though so I can call some people I thought/think are coming but haven't responded.

vendors & children are half price after I meet the minimum - but I bet if you talk to your venue, you can work it out where they can be part of the minimum.

I cant believe that 67 people havent rsvp'd yet! How rude!

Yea, a LOT more of that haven't RSVPed but I'm counting their verbals. Including several people of MY BRIDAL PARTY lol. and my dad. Calling him to see if he's actually going to show will be fun. NOT!

We didn't have children at the wedding, but I believe they would have counted.  We were under our minimum and our venue allowed us to count our vendors towards the minimum.

Children are much cheaper for us but still count toward the minimum, it really depends on the venue.

kids under 5 were free for us, and both kids in the wedding were under 5.....but i'm pretty sure we included them in our numbers anyway

    the vendors were half price...

we didn't know how many people were going to flake and end up not coming, so we didn't even bother to negotiate with them about including the vendors in our numbers...as it was i think we were only short like 5 or so people

our minimum is adults only.  so children and vendors do not count towards it.  but i believe that for the under 21 crowd (above child age, but can't drink - we pay $30 less for them), DO count toward the minimum.

Yea it doesn't really say in the contract. I'm going to wait the extra week and then call the venue if need be. Most likely we'll just make it, but just in case we're right under, I want to be able to have a backup plan.

Like almost everyone else, children and vendors were half price.  But if we couldn't meet our minimum (which we did exactly orginally but of course some yes's didn't show so we actually didn't), we could count vendors towards the minimum.

Children are included towards our minimum al full price. But if we met the minimum, then children are half price. Vendors are half price as well, but if we end up below the minimum, then they'll just include them towards the minimum.
