Where did you buy your dress?

I'm looking to spend about $1000 before alterations on a dress and am wondering if you can tell me where you got your dress and about your experience there?  thanks!!!

Alfred Angelo on La Cienega near the Beverly Center. I spent $900 before taxes and accesories. If you go, I'd recommend an appointment on a weekday and ask for Valerie when you schedule.

I got my dress at Jinny's in Huntington Beach, they have lots of stuff in that price range.  I also loved Mariposa in Anaheim, although I didn't buy my dress there.   Then there's also David's Bridal, but the service there is hit or miss.

David's Bridal in Oxnard. Always had great service there.  They did my alterations as well.

I purchased my dress online through Jay's Bridal (<-- clicky).  I actually went to their store in Gainesville, FL and tried my dresses on there (it's where my wedding was) but they suggested that I purchase online since I live out here.  Shipping was free and I received a free veil with my purchase.  Total was $666 and change.

Bridal Elegance in Torrance-it's a small shop but I loved it. I had a GREAT experience there but I would be wary because they have really bad reviews on Yelp....

I purchased my dress at Venus World Bridal in Temple City. I paid under $700 before alterations. I've had a nice experience every time I've gone. Their accents are pretty heavy so it's a little difficult to understand them sometimes, but they've happily done everything I've asked of them and I think they have good customer service.
