Venues allowing outside caterers.

It seems as if the list on the PGH Knottie website is way out of date. The list currently includes:

Greek Orthodox Hall, Oakmont
Holiday Inn, West Mifflin
Laube Hall, Freeport
Regional Enterprise Tower
Riverside Landing, Oakmont
Troy Fire Hall/ Mount Troy Ballroom
Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall

I really want to update the list since we seem to get this question a lot. For anyone who knows these specific venues, do they still truly allow outside catering? Are there any venues to add?

Thanks for your help girls! And FYI, outside catering means true outside catering, no preferred vendor lists or a list of caterers you must choose from.

From what I know, the Greek Orthodox Hall and Riverside Landing have two caterers to choose from.  Mount Troy Fire Hall also has their own catering you choose from.

Regional Enterprise Tower has an in-house caterer, but outside catering is permitted too.

    Not sure of the others!

Laube Hall and Andrew Carnegie Free Library both definitely do.  I don't think any of the others do though.

You could also add the Parador Inn.  He'll allow any caterer as long as they sit down to meet with him and see the venue first.  I think maybe the Pittsburgh Opera also allows any caterer, but I haven't heard back from them yet with a definite answer.

Confirmed that the Pittsburgh Opera House lets you bring in any caterer, and also lets you bring in your own alcohol.  This should definitely be added to the list!  The pictures of their venue look pretty awesome... I'm going to check it out tomorrow night!  I wish this would have been on the list a month ago... It's exactly what I've been looking for and it would have saved me hours and hours of searching online!! Haha.

Also forgot to mention that the Parador Inn allows you to bring your own alcohol in addition to whatever caterer you want.  And it's a very beautiful, unique venue, and the owner is incredibly helpful.  Definitely a must have on the list!! :-)

Sorry, another thing worth noting... the Andrew Carnegie Free Library was a nice venue, but it doesn't have air conditioning.  Just thought I'd save other brides from wasting their time going to see it if they're having a summer wedding!

I looked at the Holiday Inn West Mifflin, but they are going exclusive with Woody's Catering from what I was told. And to be honest, I wasn't impressed with their venue at all.
