Meet & Greet spaces/Serendipity

Please help!
Looking for a nice area/space for 50-80 people to come and go from 8-10 on a Friday night.
We are not paying for anyone, it is really just a meeting space that will hopefully serve drinks/appetizers to individuals.
We will have a few teenagers (brothers).
I am thinking about that outdoor patio space at Serendipity?  Does anyone know if it is open seating?  It seems like a great open area that people can mingle and we won't have to "book" a room and spend a fortune.
Thanks in advance!

That place is always filled with people. I had a group of 9 with us a few weeks ago in vegas and it was so crowded we left. It may be hard to find seating for 50-80 people even if everyone won't be there at once. Maybe you guys can meet at a bar or lounge that serves drinks and appetizers

I don't think you're going to find anything attractive on the strip that would have that kind of space they'd set aside for you on a Friday night without a committment.  And with teenagers in attendence, that rules out the more casual center of the casino type spaces.

Any chance you're having an in-suite reception?  Maybe get the room a day early to use as the m&g area?

Yeah, your best bet would probably be a big suite. You could also check out renting a Double Decker Bus. You can bring your own drinks.

Like VG said, no one is going to hold space for you without a committment. When I checked into Serendipity they had a $6500 food and beverage minimum for my group size (80 people at the time). Passed apps were $30 per person and drinks were $25 per hour. They also had stations for $15 per person.

Basically, you're not going to find a place where guests are on their own for their food and drinks AND have private space.

We are doing our meet and greet at Serendipity on the Friday before the wedding.  We did have to agree to the food and drink min. to hold the patio space.  The min. sucked but it wasn't too hard to meet since we offering open bar for about 60 people.  We wanted to do a basic cocktail reception, like you from 8-10.  Hopefully people will eat before or they can eat afterwards.  We are only having cupcakes and we are calling it our Cake and Cocktail Reception so people will know that dinner is not involved.

We looked at a lot of other spaces and this was the best option for an outdoor space at a reasonable cost. If you wanted to pay something for people I would check out B.B. Kings, Grand Lux Cafe - they had reasonable open bar packages with little to no room fee.

Not knowing when you are getting married, one place I think might work for you is the Piano bar in Paris.  It's kinda hidden so it's never too crowded (in my experience).  You won't have seats for everyone but there might be enough room for y'all to meet up and have drinks.  You can always send someone to hold the space.  It's a gamble because you have no idea if it'll be crowded or not.
