Can't decide who to pick to take my wedding photos. I've narrowed it down to Matthew Foster or Studiotran. I would appreciate some opinions from my New Orleans Knotties.

We used Matt Foster and loved him. He's such a nice and laid back guy. I think his photos have much more of a romantic quality than Studio Trans work. That's why we chose him. Studio Trans work seemed too party shot like for my taste.

a friend of mine used studio tran for her wedding last year (she booked them in 2008) and his prices have gone WAY up since then. I think you are paying for the name and she agreed.

We are using stacy marks b/c compared to studio tran's price you get more for your $$ and the quality is still there.

Babs Evangelista is the BEST. She is AWESOME. She was by far my favorite vendor that I worked with. She went out of her way to make things personal and awesome. I told her I wanted a first look in Audubon Park. She single handedly took it upon herself to ask Audubon for a golf cart for my FI to drive up to see me and had him playing our favorite song using her iPod on the golf cart to surprise me. Words can't describe how great she is. We get all our proofs next week, but here's the sneak peek:

Another thing aboust Studio Tran is the way they take photos of themselves at the reception. The girls I work with laugh about that all the time. I find it creepy.

If Matt becomes unavailable also check out Sam Gregory. He worked with Matt for a long tme before spliting off on his own.

I agree with that about the taking pictures of themselves at the reception thing. I saw that on their blog. I too find it odd and annoying.

My cousin used Studio Tran last year and wasn't really pleased with his work. When she looked at his portfolio, he had great pictures, but didn't feel like she got the same result when her pictures came back. She said she felt like he stood there a lot and was missing a lot of the action.

I chose Matt Foster for our wedding next March. Studio Tran is about double the price - didn't seem worth it to me.

<div>I don't know if this was directed at me or not, but sure! And btw everyone, I emailed Matt a bunch before and after we booked him to see if I could look at more of his work and he was happy to email me links to other albums with their passwords. Just an idea for you all.</div>
