Short hair? Long hair? Somehwhere in between...

I'm torn. I've always wanted long, flowing hair - so much fabulousness for my wedding! But, since the age of 8, my hair has been short - very short! It's always been, well, me. How I always remember seeing myself. And while I've been trying desperately to grow my hair out, I struggle every day with the temptation to chop it off. It's down to my shoulders as we speak and i'm about to through it in a pony tail rather than face the challenge of straigthening it. Can I have short hair for a wedding? Or should I wait and see what happens?
The theme is rustic vintage/elegance. Mountains and peacock feather. My dress is an aline lace gown with a deep V in the front and back. I'm having a veil made (birdcage) around a 1920's inspired flower and pearl headband. My hair long is very wavy and thick (I'm very small, petite and thin - i could be swallowed by my  hair!)

It might be a fabulous opportunity to see myself in a new light. But in all reality...I can't see myself living another week with it around my face! What do you think? Wait and see what happens, or embrace the truth - i'm a short hair girl by heart.

  • You def can have shorter hair! There are a lot of fun hair accessories that you can add to feel more bridal. I have an A-Line hair cut and have had a hard time finding anything as far as pic's...but here are a few...

  • Your FI fell in love with you with short hair.  There's no rule that you have to have long flowing hair at a wedding.  If you're sick of it now, how will you feel by October?  There's plenty of things you can do to dress up a short haircut.

You could give it a while longer but I think you answered your own question.  Embrace it!  :)

  • Totally go with short hair. If you regret the decision you can always add the extensions in for your wedding and have all this time stress and annoyance free hair right up until the wedding. Hair extension look so natural now it will look fine in pictures. Plus you don't have to go through all the annoyance growing it out.
  • Keep your hair how you love it!  At your wedding, you'll want to look like you - only better :-)
  • my friend had very short hair and it was GORGEOUS and very feminine at her wedding.  The little poof in back in the extent of her pony tail lol!

She added a flower for drama...
