Poppy Inn/$8k site fee?!?!

Hello-

I was hoping to reach out to any Poppy Inn brides. Just received my packet from the sales manager, and there seems to be an 8,000 dollar site fee. Is this negotiable? Or, for a low key ( but beautiful) spot for real??

    We first looked at the poppy, I also thought the fee was very high. The manager offered to show us the country club as well, which had a much more reasonable fee and was also very beautiful. We just had our reception there a few weeks ago and it was wonderful!

    I have been to several weddings at Poppy and to me that is just insane.  
    Do they have a minimum food and drink tab too?

    Does anyone know of they  put a flat % service charge on the per guest meal fee and then add tax on that total?

    They don't seem to have a food/drink minimum, that I know of. I, admittedly, have not met with the sit manager yet.

    The RD was held at the Poppy, hosted by the grooms parents.  Wedding was at Willowbend.

    I.'m floored that the Poppy is so high although it was not one of the venues we looked at
