My wedding is August 19, 2012 and even though I still have plenty of time, I can't for the life of me figure out what shoes to wear with my dress. I want to have coloured shoes, my BMs are wearing light blue dresses and my colours are light yellow, light blue (think sky blue and lighter), ivory (because of my dress), silver (because of the silver detailing on my dress) and gold. It's a rustic outdoor wedding, so there will be rustic details like wood, branches, burlap, etc.
I originally thought of doing light blue shoes, that could double as my something blue, but I feel like every pair of shoes I look at look wrong for my dress. This is the photo of my dress from in the salon (so it doesn't look quite right as it is clamped up the back), but it is ivory with lace applique's all over, with silver thread outlining the applique's and clear/silver beads sewn on throughout. At the waist there is silver and crystal detailing.
And no, I'm not 16... I'm 22 lol
Because it's basically an all over lace dress, I feel like the shoes should be pretty delicate. I was looking at wedges simply because of the outdoor aspect and not wanting to sink in to the grass as I walk down the aisle, but they all look wayy to heavy and chunky for such a delicate dress.
Can I wear gold shoes/jewelry, even though there is silver all over my dress? What kind of shoes would you recommend? I would like them to be fairly high, as my fiance is 6'4" and I am 5'4". I will change into flats for the reception, but for photo's sake I'd like to be a little closer in height to him!
