Makeup - starting to worry!

I was under the impression that it wasn't necessary to book a makeup artist until about 6 months before the wedding date. But recently I've been reading some recommendations, and decided to email a few to see if they are available for my date.
So far, both Michellle La Conte and Denise (Makeup by Denise) are both booked for my date (9/23/11)!
I have emailed Jeanine Mangan and Christine at Color Makeup studio and I'm waiting to hear back from them. But now I'm starting to get worried!

I definitely want airbrush, and someone that will come to me (unless they are located 15 to 30 minutes from Union County). The most people I'd have interested in getting makeup done is 3 including myself, so they can't require more than that to come to my location.

I wish I had known that I needed to book someone sooner! Guess everybody is ahead of me with this, and people are getting booked much earlier than normal....

    Check with Sally Duvall.  She is expensive, but totally worth it.  She was one of my favorite vendors.  She does airbrush makeup and does a really beautiful, natural look.  She is really laid back too...perfect vibe for your wedding day!  She was a champ and did my makeup as well as 6 bridesmaids and 2 moms' makeup.

    Check out Gina Brozon, I just had my make up trail with her and she was very sweet, did great work, and will travel as long as you have 3 people getting make up done

    I also have a bridal party of 3 and am looking to get married in May 2011.
    Amy Jones seems to have a very natural look and she does airbrushing. I'm waiting to hear back from her so if you want you can PM me and I'll send you any details. Her email address is amymojones@gmail.com

    I used Sally Duvall and it was only my mom and I.  She lives in Westfield, if you live close to there like I do she doesnt mind doing less that 5, at least she didnt with me because it was so close for her.  She does do amazing work... If not her, try On the Side Spa in Westfield    or go to a makeup artist at Lord and Taylor in Westfield, they all travel to your house as side jobs...

    Gina Brozon doesn't do airbrush but she does fantastic natural makeup!

    Try Jillyan from Skin Bar and Paint, she had no minimum when I used her in 2009.  She does travel to you if you want too.

    I second Jillyan Scarpa...I believe she still doesn't have a minimum and doesn't charge a travel fee.  Also, I know Dawn from La Sorella Bridal travels.

    yea, I had heard that Gina Brozon doesn't do airbrush and I REALLY want it..
    I didn't realize Sally Duvall was in Westfield (I'll be getting ready in Fanwood), so maybe she would do less than 5 people! I will definitely contact her, thanks for the info!!

    P.S. I didn't want to just pick a random person from Lord and Taylor or a makeup counter.I have sometimes gotten my makeup done by those people for a wedding I was going to, and I'd like to get something a little more special for MY wedding.. I'd prefer to pick someone with lots of recommendations rather than randomly.

    Cristina P www.njmakeupartist.com was my saving grace for makeup. Came through in the last month when another makeup artist fell through. She was wonderful day of!

    I heard back from Sally Duvall, she said she can't do less than 5 people, but recommended her assistant Dominique. Has anybody used her? She charges less and doesn't require a minimum.

    I went throuh Melissa D'Aloia and booked about one month before.  They do airbrush and are incredible!  She has quite a few girls working for her so there's a great chance someone is open.  Carrine did mine and she was excellent!  She even helped me touch up my hair (bc the salon messed up a little lol)
