I'm choosing the music for our Mass and want to pick mostly religious and traditional classical music.  That's why I'm posting on this board because I may find people with similar tastes as mine.

What were the songs that you picked?  These are what I need to choose for our musicians:

    Prelude - I don't remember nor did we have a specific song listed in our program. The organist just played something

                                      Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach

    Recessional - Allegro Maestoso by Handel

    We were not permitted to have a unity candle in the church we were married in.

    I know I want Canon D as the bridal procession but that's as far as I have gotten.  I know the unity candle is not permitted in our archdiocese either.

    Prelude:  we have three but I can only remember one and that is Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
    Seating of the parents:  The Wedding Song (There is Love)
    Processional:  Canon in D
    Bride (ME!!!!!):  Trumpet Voluntary
    Presentation of the Gifts:  Prayer of St. Francis
    Communion:  On Eagle's Wings
    Tribute to Mary:  Ave Maria
    Recessional:  Ode to Joy

    And we are not doing a unity candle.  Hope this helps!  I'm actually really excited about our church music and fully expect most of the church to be tearing up throughout the whole thing!  ME included!
