anyone else looking forward to the wedding being over because money is just flying out of their pocketbooks. I am looking at my budget and I am really broke, I have just what is needed for the next two weeks and nothing more...I hope that nothing else comes up, dont know where the money will  come from.

    Yep.  We aren’t broke, but I’m sad watching the balance on our checking account go down, down, down. 

     

    It will all be worth it though!

    Yep, we are REALLY close. I am hoping and praying that FI's federal tax refund comes back this week or very early next week. He gots his state last week. I am trying not to freak out but it is reallllly hard :)

    Ooooh yes, broke as a joke.  Plus, I owed both federal and state taxes for the first time this year so that didn't help matters either since I had to pay that 17 little days before the wedding!  I can't wait until the money stops waterfalling out of my bank account.

    Our wedding budget is surprisingly doing okay...we planned for 175 and got 140! So that's a couple thousand extra we were not expecting...but cc and my grad loans we be paying off for years since we been neglecting them saving for the wedding!

    Yep, we're completely broke. We have just enough to scrape by until after the wedding, and we will probably be a week or 2 behind on extraneous bills afterwards, but no biggie. i'm still looking for a job so considering that we have been doing this with his income and tax returns we aren't doing too shabby.I will get a job after the wedding though. I have kind of slacked off a bit since it's so close and I haven't had much luck with finding one, but that will change come the week of May 20th. haha, I want/need a new laptop crazy bad! Gotta be able to play the new Guild Wars when it comes out! :) Plus we're planning a San Diego trip next spring for our Honeymoon. We plan on going to comicon, Sea World, the zoo, and a bunch of historic houses and stuff. So excited! We are total geeks and proud of it!

    yep we're in the same boat. With all the drama with the FI's exwife and the extra costs for that mess. We're barely making it.

    Our money is dwindling not because of wedding costs (my parents are paying, so grateful for them!) I have been unemployed so right now FI is supporting us...

    somehow i wound up ok..but the little things here or there kill me. I set aside about 3 grand for incidentals and tipping....but the saving has been primarily me because my fiance was out of work with his back.  i think i owe the venue maybe like 200 bucks. but im waiting until my final numbers are in.
