What gift are you getting your groom for your big day?!

So, since JCP is liquidating I went to see if they had anything of interest. I spent a crapload of money however, I walked away with a nice citizens watch (diamonds, the entire shabang) for about 2/3 the cost. I hate to hold onto it till May but I think it'll be nice to give him the watch and a few other items like socks so he doesn't get cold feet and love letters. Real cheesy stuff. What are you all doing?

I also bought each of the mothers a beautiful diamond and genstone band for a steal and my sister a gorgeous opal ring and earings as a thank you in addition to jewlery that matches the wedding if she wanted to wear them.

I have no clue about our fathers. Is it customary to buy for grandparents as well? We weren't planning on it, just something small for our wedding party and parents to say thank you.

I'm getting FI a grooms cake made of his favorite football team, and a Marc Jacobs watch. I LOVE his watches. I'm getting the parents personalized hankerchiefs from Etsy with notes on them from FI and I. I never thought about the grandparents.

He's getting me isn't that enough lol all jokes aside I don't want to do gifts the day of. My plan is since we are writing our own vows to just frame them.

We actually decided that instead of getting each other gifts, we are going to put that money toward a nice camera- the ones with big lenses, the Digital SLRs. We want to get one before going to Hawaii, and we just decided that this would replace individual gifts.

I don't really get this tradition- I think you're giving each other a wedding :P I was going to surprise FI with an engraving on his wedding band.

Yep we probably won't do gifts to each other. He hates buying present for people anyway. if I get him anything it will be some high quality wine since he is a wine drinker.

I don't think we'll have enough money for gifts to each other by then! Lol! But his birthday is a few weeks before the wedding; I may get him a nice watch or something.

We said no gifts, but I will probably get him something small anyway. We are also getting a DSLR camera to take on our honeymoon.

I don't know what we are doing for gifts or if we are evening doing them. My birthday is about a week before our wedding and his birthday is two weeks after so I don't think we will have the money to do both. I did see those hankys on Etsy for parents and I am tempted to do that for my parents. Especially my dad because he is a huge hanky user and I feel like it would be cute to get him a special one. Of course he wouldn't use it. I feel like I'd want to get them frames to go with them. I really want to get my dad cuff links that say the father of the bride, but I could always do those for christmas or just both. I'm not sure what we will do for his parents. We plan on having his grandfather marry us, so I'm sure we will get something for him too.

I thought about doing bouidor photos but not 100 % sold on that. If I don't end up doing that we will more than likely just skip gifts.

I wanted to original do this too but I'm too chicken get half naked in front of stranger .... And his bday is 4 days before the wedding I tease him he picked this day since it was so close he wouldn't forget our Anni lol

I really really wanted to do the boudoir pictures and give him an album of them on the day of. Considering the fact that I don't really have a few extra hundred dollars around I probably won't be able to do that. But I saw a picture I want to replicate and give to him. It was on pinterest and it was a picture of a bride from the back, holding her dress up just high enough to show her legs and her garter. I thought that was cute so I may see if my photographer can take one like that when we do bridal portraits.

Since were paying for a lot of the wedding we're not doing gifts. I do plan on sending socks and a bucket of beers to the guys the while they are getting ready however. Very little is traditional about our wedding..

We aren't buying eachother gifts, we are putting the money away for our honeymoon/one year anniversary. For my mom, I'd like to get her something really nice, she loves pearls so maybe earrings or a necklace, I want to get my dad a watch, no idea what to get his parents. As for the grandparents, I'm not sure if you have to get them anything but we are. I've been very close with them my whole life. I am getting both of them a book with all of our engagemnt pics in it, and then a nice note from us at the end of the book.

I'd love to do some boudoir photos, but as others have noted, I don't feel like shelling out so much dough for it. I was thinking about a watch. He doesn't have one, and I think he needs to have a nice entry-level timepiece.

We're not technically doing gifts. Though I am planning to surprise him with a Rubik's Cube groom's cake. I thought about getting his ring engraved, but 1) I'm not sure how to sneak that past him and 2) I don't really know what to have engraved in it. Though I have time to consider.
