What are you making? I have no idea what to make. DH and DS eat crap while I'm gone, so I always cook when I'm home. But dammit, I sort of want to go out for sushi.

    Tonight we're having leftover brisket and noodles and salad.  I have no clue for the rest of the week.

    I'm taking some leftover blackened chicken and making a quesadilla.  And broccoli on the side.  CRAZY.

    i've been eating as much tuna sashimi as i could these days.

    i just had a big bowl of pasta all'olio, which should hold me over until the kid goes to sleep. and then it's probably a brownie and some coffee for dinner. ah, adulthood.

    all'olio:

    bring a pot of water to boil. add salt.

    as soon as it boils, drop pasta. i like angel hair, but that takes 3 minutes to cook for my taste.

    as pasta is boiling, heat up oolive oil and crushed garlic. if you have anchovies or anchovie paste, add that. simmer to cook garlic until it starts to brown on the edges. keep flame on med/low. turn it off if garlic starts to brown.

    as soon as pasta is done (i like al dente, some peope like mush), add the pasta to the pan with oil. toss with as much grated cheese as you could stand.

    this is all done in 10 minutes. my favorite.

    Mom just called and invited us over for dinner.  So, I have to figure out how to make dinner work, with trying on a dress she's made me (she's got the bug again), setting up on Wii for them, then making it home for the debate and still working out.  *pondering*  I'll probalby work out after the debate, I'll be up and annoyed by then.

    I was going to do spaghetti, because I made sauce last week, but turkey and black bean tacos sound really good.

    Tonight is parent teacher conference, so whatever the PTA feeds us. It's either pizza, a boxed lunch or pasta and salad. It's always one of the three.

    Hmm. Maybe I'll hit up the grocery store before I pick up DS and we'll make hamburgers. That sounds easy. Or maybe I'll get a rotisserie chicken and make sides. Blech. This traveling is starting to wear on me.
