Finally reviews! Here we go...
Comber Hall (Sylvias weddings of distinction) B
The location is beautiful - I received sooo many compliments. Sylvia has an amazing staff that were so helpful the day of and did such a great job! The food was great and she made a personal menu for me that was vegetarian and everyone was pleasently surprised by how good it was. Here are my negatives. I feel like she was a little bit of a drill seargent type. Like there wasn't much give for me or for things that came up. We had somethings that came up which I will describe later and she didn't seem to care, didn't want to help, and actually just put me down for even hiring that particular vendor. Ummmm after all the money I gave her I was hoping for more warmth. Also, there was a time over winter break where I sent her 4 emails and called a few times and it took two months for her to get back to me.
Church - Plymouth Congregational in coconut grove - A
This church is so pretty I could't get over it and can't wait to see the pictures. I am not religious honestly and only got married in a church for H family, but I trully loved the pastor there. He was so nice and funny and understanding and really calmed me down when I was fresking out before. After your ceremony they actually have bells for you to ring, like an old fashion church which I loved! The only reason they didn't get a + is because they were a little crazy about us getting out of there, even though we were the last wedding of the night. The reason we wern't leaving is because our transportation disappeared and didn't come back for an hour (same issue that Syvlia knocked me for).
On that note - American Coach F
We got the Miami hurricane shuttle b/c we met at UM but they also have limos and trollys. After drop off at the ceremony the guy disappeared and didnt show up until 30 minutes after cocktail hour and well into the reception, so everything was puched back a ton. He did not apologize and actually blamed us for not "telling him to hang around" even though the contract said to. When he drove away after dropping off I figured he was just going to park but instead he went on some joy ride and caused major stress for us! We are currently trying to get reimbursed for this service. Do not use them. Aweful!!! As cute as it was to have the shuttle.

He is awesome and so is his staff. I am so thrilled we decided to use him and he was my favorite vendor. I was so nervous before the ceremony and he calmed me down and made me laugh and was just amazing! There was some family drama from H's side and his assistant Heidi helped me laugh about it. They were both so receptive, called back right away, and spent as much time as I needed on the phone with me. I was so so so happy with them and think everyone should use them! I really cant say enough good things and just talk about the awesome vibe they created. Love love. A little bit of a splurge for us but so worth it. His pics are also amazing (at least the ones I have sene).
Flowers - Creations by Blanca A+++++
Loved her too. I received so many compliments on my bouquet and centerpieces. Florists were the hardest for me and I seriously talked to over 20. I am so happy I went with Blanca. She gave me more than I could have dreamed for under budget. I had a lot of flowers and bling vases and came in pretty far under budget. I had some florists laugh at me when I said how much I wanted for my price and she never made me feel bad. She was also super easy to get in touch with and always returned calls and answered emails the same day which is so appreciated especially when it gets closer to the wedding. Love her, use her, shes awesome!!
Hair and Makeup - A+++++
Alison and Amanda - an amazing team recommended to me by my aunt and so affordable. They both helped calm me down the day of too and everyone looked freaking awesome. One bridesmaid was super nervous because she has had makeup done in the past and felt the artists were not good at doing darker skin, but after she was done she coudnt stop telling me what an amazing job Amanda had done and how thrilled she was! Alison did an amazing job also. Everyone's hair held up the entre day and night and all the girls were so happy. They both work at salons in Broward but do a ton of weddings, usually together. I always contacted them through Alison so here is her number - (954) 856-4056. Can't recommend them enough either!
Photobooth _Peekaboo Photo Booth - A+++++
Also loved them! Everyone had a great time and it was a hit! Andrew, the owner was so easy to contact and so helpful throughout planning. The girl who ran the booth at the wedding was super nice and even reopened it after she had shut down for me and my grandma. My super conservative grandma finally decided to try it, but the time we paid for was way over but she re set up just for her and that meant so much to me! When else will you be in a photobooth with your grandma with props? Never and it was great! Everyone loved it and it was great for kids and adults! They are also the most affordable company in SoFla! Use them! They are great!
Jos A Bank - Tuxes - B
My dad's tux didnt fit well in the pants and he had a lot of trouble dancing. Everyone elses fit though. In fairness my dad has been doeting and lost 10 lbs since he was fitted (woohoo for that!!!!) but I wish the guy at the store when he picked it up would have taken more time since my dad's kinda clueless about that stuff and went alone! Also, H dad's measurements were deleated from the computer system and he had to go twice to get measured which was a little annoying. Otherwise everything was good with them.

Turned out beautiful and exactly how I wanted. The girl was super nice and easy to talk to. Def recommend especially if you want some bling on your holder or something special

really cute and affordable. Came in cute litttle boxes and my neices loved them!
Hotel - Mutiney in Coconut Grove - B++/A-
This hotel is so nice and pretty. Everyone loved it. My only complaint would be we filled 24 rooms, all suites, some 2 bedrooms, and they gave us nothing and knew it was our wedding! I was expecting some wine or champaigne or a congrats note or something! Otherwise they were great!
Rehearsal dinner - A - Bice Bistro
In coconut grove, made a menu for us and did a great job. Everyone had such a great night, my dad said it was one of the best nights of his life. The servers were so nice and attentive. Really recommend them for a big event or just a dinner out. Also their packages were by far the most reasonable in the Grove and they were willing to negotiate. Really great time!
Ok my comp is dying on me so I have been trying to finish this up quick since I don't know where the cord is and have been too lazy to search!
