You'll probably get more useful replies if you give information on what is important to you rather than three dramatically different hotels with nothing else.

soo many.  what is your budget?  What type of food/atmosphere do you prefer?  How many guests are you expecting?  Where is your ceremony...I can keep going...Please do share your plans so we can better suggest!

we'd like to keep to about 15k for 75 people (reception only).  definitely need open (premium) bar.  plated dinner and would really like a nice cocktail hour.

i want it to be nice, but don't care too much about some of (what i consider) really extra stuff.  no need for fancy chair covers, napkin rings, menus, fancy linens, etc.    planning on just ivory linens and lots of candles.

not sure on ceremony yet.  probably at the hotel, but not 100%

good food, good drinks, lots of fun.  those are the priorities.

    does that help?

I switched from Trevi to Maggianos.  Both are under 10k though for our group of 60 people.  We are getting a lot more at Maggiano's for the same price as Trevi though.  I wanted a lot of candles too but Maggiano's says they will interfere with the family style serving...just something to think about.

You can do a premium bar, light (30 min) cocktail reception and plated dinner for 75  for just about $15K at Mandalay Bay (including their 22% service tax and 8% Nevada state tax).  I'm doing something similar, but we're doing reception stations instead of a plated dinner because it's a bit less expensive.  They've got catering menus up on their web site if you're interested.

i think i can do the reception for our budget in any of the three places.  just was trying to get a feel for what people think of the venues.  i mean, if someone said 'wynn' or 'bellagio' to me, i'd automatically think 'fancy'....how do you feel about these other places?  how is the general atmosphere?

I wouldn't have a preconception of the 'atmosphere' of a reception venue based on what hotel it's located in or near....you're questions are vague.  Try and find a few specific venues/restaurants you're interested in and we can share thoughts & experiences.

I haven't seen the Venetian Ballrooms, but I would classify both CP and MB as being on the "nicer" side of things...and my general impression of the Venetian is similar.  Just one thing to note that the ballrooms in almost all of these places tend to be a bit "bland", or at least, more bland than the rest of the casinos themselves in terms of decor.  If that matters to you, budget for a bit of sprucing up in the form of uplighting, upgraded linens, etc.  I love MB and am very happy that I'm having my reception there, but as I was warned by brides before me, the ballrooms are largely used for corporate events and conventions so they're very neutral-looking.

I get what you are saying.  We had our reception at Canaletto in the Venetian.  I knew that I wanted to have my reception somewhere in either Caesars or the Venetian because I like the atmosphere and general look of both hotels.

Canaletto was perfect for us because it is in the Piazza so there is plenty of entertainment and things to do before and after the reception, it has great food, nice private rooms, and the prices were great.  We also considered Trevi at Caesars for similar reasons.
