Has any one ever bought a veil off of eBay or Amazon?

Hi, I was wondering if any one has ordered a veil from Amazon or eBay before? If so, would you recommend it? I was going to use my sister's veil for my wedding, however my dress is ivory and her veil is white so it does not match.  I have asked family and friends and checked local craft stores, but no luck on finding an ivory veil. A veil was not in my budget and now I am trying to look for a cheap but  nice looking veil. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  • I wore an ivory cathedral length veil from a seller on Amazon. It cost around $40 and I got soooo many compliments. Some brides are very hands-on, and buying online isn't an option. If you're more laid back (like I was), I would highly suggest the savings from buying online. A lot of ladies use ValuVeil, as well.
  • I got my veil on ebay for 15.99.  It is gorgeously seeded with little pearl flowers, and has scalloped edges.  It's just as good as what the stores want to charge you 200 for.

  • I won the same David's Bridal veil I wanted from in-store (but which was $200) on eBay for less than $30.  If you don't mind the possibility of it having been worn before (my seller stated that it had been purchased and she decided not to wear a veil, but you never know - in any case it looked like it was brand new) you can find both name brand and handmade stuff on eBay.

  • I bought a used veil that the seller paid $180 for new for the minimum bid of $30, even if I hadn't loved it and needed to buy another on Ebay at a similar price, it still would have been under the $200 the bridal store quoted me!  I'm glad I did it because the alternative would have been that I wouldn't have worn a veil, I was unwilling to pay that price for a veil!
  • I bought my veil on eBay from a seller in Asia - yes it was a risk, but my $25 was totally worth the risk for me, it looks beautiful, matches my dress, and didn't cost me the $200 that David's Bridal wanted for an almost identical one.
