Pastor/Elms!!!

O.k girls- 

Getting married at the Elms Hotel outside and I am in need of a pastor. I have NO idea how to go about finding one etc.... Any suggestions or anyone that is getting married outside at the Elms what are you doing?

    I wasn't in this particular situation, but I had friends who were.  They didn't go to church/had no pastor they wanted to ask to perform their ceremonies.  One of them had a friend get ordained and he performed the ceremony.  The other found her pastor online by looking through yellowpages or something and hired them like a vendor (apparently the going rate is somewhere around $200-300).

    I'm looking around right now.  Two people I've contacted so far are Rev. Tim Brooks with Simple2Elegant Weddings and Rev mandi McGuire with Odell Ministries.  They are within the 150-300 price range and seem to do a variety of services.  I think you can google their names to get their contact info.

    I vote for Tim Brooks- actually his daughter Melissa is wonderful! I shopped around a bit and she is giving us a lot for $200. I have also heard really great things about them!

    i'm getting married outside at the elms.  But since we are a multi-faith couple we decided to have a family friend do it.  This way we get to everything how we want it done.  We were actually working on it yesterday.  It can be hard writing the whole thing :-p

    I'm also getting married outside at The Elms and am using Rev. Tim Brooks from Simple2Elegant weddings.  I live in Colorado but was in KC last weekend and met with him at his home and he seemed great!  He offered lots of great suggestions but also listened to what we had to say.
