Alterations?

Hello! I got my dress at Lillian's in Dayton, and they told me to use their seamstress, Bahar Omrani. Has anyone used her before? I've heard that bridal places often overcharge for alterations, so I'm not sure if I should stick with them or just use a local seamstress! What do you think?

They said it would be more labor-intensive because of all the lace.

    Bahar is currently altering my dress, and did both of my sister's wedding dresses.  She is FANTASTIC.  Her prices are not unreasonable at all.  Originally I had straps added to my dress and some repairs done to the hem (it was a sample).  Now she is performing some additional changes to it for me.  I don't expect to spend more than $200 on it total for these changes.  One of my sisters had the hemline raised from the waist and an *extremely* intricate french bustle done, and the total cost was $250.  Bahar's work is flawless - and she's super sweet!
