outside in july?

We are planning in getting married in the end of july.... is it crazy to even consider an outdoor wedding or an open air reception? 
any ideas or compromises??

    I personally think it would be way to humid. But if you have a tent and some air conditioning it would be better than just being out in the sun!

    ETA: Well, not air conditioning, but fans.

    We're getting married in July in the evening.  Our ceremony is outside under a big oak, but our reception is inside.

    We're also getting married at the end of July (2013) and will have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.  I've seen some cute programs that are also fans that you could pass out if you think it will be too hot.  Or you could rent fans but the noise might interfere with the ceremony.
