so i wanted to do something for the wedding that would relate to us, im thinking koozies as the favors(tacky, i know, but they are totally us. and im sending the registry info with the invites already so i can't get any tackier right! hahaha) anywho i also was thinking about either a candy buffet with all retro candy, just because all our guests are adults and i figure they would like retro candy or a dessert bar instead of a big wedding cake. im leaning more toward the desert bar.

which one would you go with?

    P.S. I went to a wedding that had koozies as favors and people loved them. Esp the younger guests. We still use ours all the time

    I like the koozie idea! thats cute :0)
    we did both I had a candy buffett and a cake
    girl I did a honeymoon registry instead of gift registry and no kids at the wedding so I think I have you beat on tacky hehehe

    I went to a wedding with Koozies and FI loved it!  LMBO at the part about the gift registry...Guess we are all tacky over here on the IE boards :-)

    I like the candy buffet idea YUM...but I would make sure it is covered until you want people to eat it...Have you seen the bridezilla one where she went crazy because people ate her candy before the reception even started LOL

    I personally like all the ideas!  I haven't been to a wedding with any of those so I don't have a persoanl preference.  I like it all.  I don't use Koozies but I know plenty of people that do.

    yeah i agree they all sound good!!  jeez i must be a real redneck beacuse everything that's supposed to be tacky i always think "whats tacky about that?!" haha!!

    I think we're going to combine desserts and candy and have some of each along with our small cake for cutting and all that and then sheet cakes in the back kitchen, i cant pick so im doing everything!!  and i dont even care what people think!  if they dont like it they dont have to eat it :)

    Well we all know that I'm partial to the candy buffet-and I bet you'd get a super good deal ;)

    I also like the koozies- I don't find them tacky at all! :)

    I saw a candy buffet once in a wedding magazine...I think it was martha stewart...any way the whole wedding was outside, casual.  They had made paper pinwheels, had the retro candy bar in all different sized glass jars, bowls and containers with little silver scoops for small loose candy.  Then they had printed paper cones to put the candy in.

    They had also decorated with a lot of paper-paper flowers, garlands, etc.  It was really pretty (wish I still had that magazine)
