STRESSING!!

I thought we had everything finalized and all I had left to do was my DIY.  Well, that was until about 15minutes ago when the president of the hall we are having our reception at called, and said that the date for our wedding was no longer available.  Apparently I forgot about the deposit and even though we had been written in, someone else came in with a deposit for that day. I am so pissed that they never even called me to ask about the deposit.  I would have gladly paid(since I thought I already had.) Now, I am seriously stressing, because all of the other hall in the area are booked. What should I do? Help!!!!

    First: take a deep breath. It will all work out.

    You have a few options:

    1. book the same venue but perhaps during the week. I'm sure your vendors can accomodate that. Or have it the same day but earlier/later.

    2. Start calling places ASAP to see if they have your date open. I'm not sure how long you have until your wedding but that can be a factor.

    Yes, when is it?  How much time do you have?  Then tell us what kind of place you need, and we can suggest alternative locations!  (And it was definitely sucky of them to not even call you to ask about it!)

    Don't worry, something will work out!  And it will probably be even better than you imagined!  Remember, you to get marry your one-and-only!

    THe wedding is November 20, 2010. It was suppose to be in Sealy, TX, so I need somewhere close to there.  We are having a very rustic/old country themed wedding.  OUr wedding was to be outside of the hall under a grouping of trees...very beautiful!  I have almost 500ppl coming, so I need to make sure it fits everyone.  Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

    What was the venue?

    Have you looked into Tin Hall? I know they are out in Cypress which is somewhat in the area. I saw them at the Birdal Extravaganza, and they seemed really nice. Definitely has a country feel to it as well.

    Wow, 500 ppl...I'm afraid I don't have much knowledge for that size!  But maybe check out the Phoenix?  http://www.thephoenixrising.com/ It's right out off of I-10 west of Katy too, I think.

    It's okay ladies...they called back this morning and said that they had mine and another parties dates mixed up...that mine was still available.  I drove right down there(in my ambulance...LOL) and wrote them a check this morning...LOL!!

    FANTASIC!  That's GREAT news!  And you know what's great?  This is probably the worst/scariest moment you will have had during all of your planning!  It's all up hill from here, honey!  Haha.  :)
