Felt like I was falling behind, however..

I really felt like I was falling behind/ dropping the ball with wedding stuff, since I got my new job a month or so ago. It is 2 months until our wedding, and I hadn't been able to even work on the invites.

After this past weekend, I am happy to say that my DIY invites are finished, and now I just need to address the envelopes, get stamps, and send them out!

I have been reading on here about those who have gotten RSVP's back, and I am so excited! I included on the RSVP the number of seats reserved in their honour, so if someone adds someone else, it will be easier to let them know that they weren't invited. I've heard a ton of stories on here about RSVP's being sent back with an extra person, so I feel like I'm better prepared for it now,

That must feel so nice to have the DIY invites done! I did mine..... ALL 100 of them. It was so relieving to have them done!

RSVP's are exciting, but there's also lulls in the mail. I got a ton back the first two weeks after I sent them out, and then last week only got a few.

I'm looking forward to the mail today though!

im feeling so behind....the invitations are at the printers this week....hopefully....and am hoping to have them by the weekend to start addressing....I feel so behind...I think i'm the last person on this board to not have their invites in the mail

Jessiflower, I think ours will be out around the same time....on the brightside, they will stay fresh in people minds to RSVP because the date is sooner

Jessie --- our wedding is the same day and my invites aren't going in the mail until this weekend. We are well within the 8-6 weeks. No worries... you aren't alone

Feels great to get them out! Ours have been out a few weeks and we haven't had any lulls. Gotten at least 1 a day since a day or two after we sent them! And our RSVP date was 5 weeks from when we mailed them.
