September Honeymoon on a budget

Hi.... I need help finding a place to go on my honeymoon this September. We are on a budget and it's Hurricane season so i'm having trouble finding something. Where is a nice affordable place to go this time of year??

Re: September Honeymoon on a budget

  • What is your budget? Also you could consider going to somewhere even if it is during Hurricane insurace just make sure you get trip insurance. We went to Mexico in September and it was gorgeous and amazing and super cheap!

  • No place is any guarantee, and I'm not sure if it is in your budget, but I've heard that because of its location Aruba is pretty safe as far as good weather goes.

I also agree, that purchasing trip insurance is a good idea.
  • This a difficult question to answer without knowing your budget. However, if you want a beach honeymoon but want to avoid the possibility of a hurricane, check out either Aruba, Bonaire, or Curaco. These three islands are outside the hurricane belt. Alternatively, depending on your budget and interests, September is a perfect time to visit Europe.
  • Yes, an idea of your budget would help.

Charleston SC is lovely most of the year and probably still really warm in September.

We took a road trip style of HM down the CA coast in September of last year. Depending on what you like to do, I'd recommend it. The weather was great in the San Diego area if you like beaches, and the scenery was incomparable down the coast. We were there 14 days, in San Fran the first 4 days (kind of cool and windy), the rest of the 10 days we had the top down on the convertible the entire time.
  • I'm not sure what is affordable for you, but we are going to Trinidad and Tobago in September.  It is pretty reasonable and outside the hurricane belt.

Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.
  • I would check AppleVacations.com or Excellence Resports in Dom, Republic! My fiance and i are planning on going to the Dom, Republic for 7 nights and 8 days for a little over 3,000(All Inclusive)

On a budget, i think All-Inclusive is probably your best bet! :) Hope this helps!
  • I know thinking of the hurricane season is always an issue but you could still consider doing a cruise to islands like aruba and curaco which are safe from hurricanes. Cruises are AI except for alcohol and excursions so if you book early you can get a great deal and keep your whole HM well under 3,000. I am 99% sure my FI and I are doing a carnival cruise to the carribean islands in november and if we book soon each ticket is just over $400 for 6 days each so we're looking at around 1,000 which includes your meals and snacks along with the many other complimentary activities like entertainment and so on so we will have plenty of spending money for the other fun stuff that isnt included. After learning about that deal I am having a hard time considering anything else!
