FI lost his job yesterday =[

And we are pretty sure it was because he made too much. The new assistant store manager was hired in $6 less than he was making (he wasn't a store manager, just a department manager). It really sucks. I guess wedding plans are at a stand still till he can find a new job =/

I'm sure everything will work out, he hated his job anyway. It is just really scary.

    im sorry to hear that im sure everything will work out i had to put my wedding planning on hold for 6 months till january 9th of 2012 because we had a fire at my house and had other things to take care of to if you need anything just let use girls on the board know i un derstand that it is hard to put plans on hold this late in the game but sometimes you have to do things to make things work and youll get back on your feet before you know it !!!

    Aww Katie that sucks I'm sorry! It's tough, but I'm sure you two will pull through better than before.
    And if what you think is true about why he was fired, that's bs. Probably illegal too but who knows nowadays what companies can get away with. (friend got fired two days after they ok'd her 4 month maternity leave, no severance... said they were "outsourcing" her position, it's revolting)
    If there is anything I could help with wedding-wise, I'd love to try even all the way in KC! (diy help, etc)

    Oh no, I'm so sorry.  It's not easy being in that boat, FI and I know it all too well.  I hope everything works out for you guys.  We're here for anything and if you need to vent :)

    That's horrible! Like PP said, I'm sure that's illegal, but who knows what they can get away with. =( I'm sure you guys will pull through. At least it's not super duper close. That would be crazy stressful. T&Ps your way!!!

    They didn't actually say that was why, they said it was his attendance, which is crazy because he attendance was not bad at all.

    Wishing the best for your FI is finding a new job.  That really does bite but I believe       when one door closes a bigger and better one opens.

    actually i agree with pp about it being illegal because it happened to my dad and he was able to collect unemployment cause it was unlawful discharge
