I booked my honeymoon last night to Secrets Silversands, which looks like an amazing resort with beautiful pools, rooms and great service. I didn;t research too much into the resort, as I'd seen how much people like the resorts on here. Seeing as how it was the best value, I jumped on it.
After booking, I started reading about how horrible the beach is there. It's set on a coral reef, making it naturally rocky and hard to even wade in. Every single review about the beach either recommended not going n or brining water shoes. I tried to convince myself this was ok, but FI and I really are huge beach people. I will swim in the ocean for hours at a time.
I called this morning to change my reservation, and withint 15 minutes I had a room booked at Secrets Capri with a deluxe oceanfront room. Granted I did have to repurchase the travel insurance, but they were so good to work with. What a huge relief.
Lesson: Always read a lot of reviews before booking. And buy travel insurance!
