Wedding Gown Store

I'm new to Connecticut and dont know where to go shopping for dresses. I live in Guilford and am having the wedding in Groton. I don't mind having to drive a ways to find my dress. I'm looking for something between $1000-$3000.

    my girlfriend got her dress at Julie Allen.  I went to Kleinfeld.  Great experience and yes, I stayed in that price range :)

    If you're willing to schlep to the city, Kleinfeld is a lot of fun. Just be wary, when I went they showed me 3 dresses that were WAY higher than $3,000. (which was my budget too) It all depends on the consultant you get. It's still a great experience.

    Also, I will rave, rave, raaaave about Cymbeline. If you like the dresses www.cymbeline.com the store in Manhattan is amazing. They are so helpful and so nice. I shouldn't even have my dress yet, but I do. (it's a long story) They are holding it for me until it's time to do my alterations, I go back every other month to make sure I'm not getting fat and they don't mind. Even though I'm obviously not going be a sale, I never feel rushed or unwelcome.

    I second Harolds'.  I got my dress there and my bridesmaid dresses, my sister got her wedding dress there and my Mom got her MOB dress there.  Great service, selection and pricing!

    I went to April Rose near the Guilford green and had a great experience!  The employees were really friendly and helpful and the dresses will definitely be in your price range.

    Occasions in Bethel...the store front is hideous, but they have really inexpensive dresses, that are beautiful (although it might take a bit to find one)....and the woman who works there is just so darn nice!

    i second classic brides by eva in stratford.  eva is SO nice and helpful, but not pushy at all.  you'll definitely be able to stay in your price range.  plus, all the alterations are included in the price of the dress.

    Desired Weddings & Special Events in Putnam. Nice little drive. Very friendly services and cute shop. They know their craft. Prices are between 450-1500
