RC Uplighting or JFA Lighting

We'd never have considered lighting for our wedding, until we saw the difference it made (in the ambiance) at my sister's wedding.  However the company my sister used is not available for our date.  Our planner, thus recommended either RC Uplighting or JFA Lighting, but I've never heard of either one.  I checked weddingwire and RC seems to have great reviews.  Does anyone have any recs on either of these companies?  Also, we are not looking to spend an arm and a leg, so hopefullly we can do the lighting at a reasonable price.  TIA!

    my cousin used RC and they were wonderful... they are a husband and wife team (recently married) and very fun to work with... we are using them next week!

    I am also using RC Uplighting.  So far have been wonderful to deal with!  And I found their prices to be very reasonable!

    Thanks so much!  Can either of you give me a clue into their pricing?  One company we contacted (when my sister was planning) chargedd almost 100 per light, which is waayyyy over our budget (that would make 10 lights around $1000!).  I am looking to stay under that if I can, just for some tent lighting.

    RC lighting quoted us 14 lights for $650. I am not sure if their rates have gone up but that was when I inquired for our 2010 nuptials. They are charging a travel fee for us since our wedding is in R.I

    We used RC Uplighting and they were really great to work with & did a fabulous job. You can see pics in my married bio!

    I'm using RC Uplighting and Ryan is the best vendor by far! In fact we are having our uplighting trial on Friday and I am so damn excited!

    I wanted to use RC uplighting they were very reasonably priced and I have only heard good things about them.. but They will be out of the country on my wedding date :(

    Abilify -

    We were quoted $850 for 20 lights (plus tax!).  So it came to a little over $900 in total.  They are very reasonable, so I'm sure they would be willing to work with you based on your budget!  Good Luck!

    Hey Soxgal,
    I don't think they are allowed to charge to a tax. I don't think services are taxable in Mass...I could be wrong but you might want to ask.

    Funny you say that.  I thought the exact same thing, but when they sent me the invoice, the tax was on it.  I'm wondering if they have to tax it because you are basically "renting" the lights?  So it's similar to going to Taylor Rental or some place like that?

    I think it's wrong to tax a service but I'm no accountant. My lighting company didn't charge us tax. I didn't use RC because their lights are static and have wires and you get 1 color all night.
