Hey Everyone. I just browsed wedding dress shops this weekend and discovered I am way behind the game...some of the shops implied I was too late to get a dress for June!!

Do y'all have your dresses already? Anyone else in my shoes?

I have had my dress since July, but that's because it was on sale for more then $400 off and the sale was about to end.

You don't need to worry. Some can still be ordered. And you can still get the samples for a great deal. I bought mine as a sample in May, took it home that day.

If the shops really don't think you can get a dress in time, even with rush fees and such, you could definitely try sample sales

I've seen girls pick out AMAZING dresses for very low prices due to wear & tear discounts, on dresses that can be easily fixed up!

Also look at the sample and preowned shops. The bridal shops order the dress that must be made. The sample/preowned stores sell what they have on site.

I bought mine in September and it arrived in late December. It depends on the designer - some have shorter times. 5 months is still a lot of time, but you should probably get it soon!

I got my dress in July, but that's because it was super cheap. You definitely have time to get a dress! You may have to pay more for rush fees if you don't go the David's bridal route, but with David's bridal I don't think it takes long to order, and with their sales you may be able to walk out with your dress, like I did. I just got mine Saturday so you are totally fine. I did buy it off the rack at David's Bridal and my FMIL is doing my alterations. You can always get a dress ordered for any date you will just have to pay more if you want it sooner.

I ordered mine in July or August. It hasn't come in yet. I believe it's expected to come in sometime in February, but I'm hoping earlier!

My mother is sewing my ceremony dress, which likely won't be ready until about an hour before I walk down the aisle.

I don't have my reception dress yet. FMIL didn't come to visit when she was supposed to back in August to go buy it. She isn't going to come up until Feb. Maybe. I can't buy it without her since I don't speak fluent Mandarin. I don't think the little bit I know will be enough to get me through the dress buying process.

I got mine back in September and it was a sample sale. The shop had it cleaned and is working on alterations. I found out today that it will be ready for my first fitting next week.

Check out TK Classified boards too. A lot of brides sell dresses there for very reasonable prices. If you have a style in mind, it could be a great way to go.

Ha, apparently I'm the only other girl on here without a dress yet! I know it sounds crazy, but my dress has always been the last thing on my mind. I'm not one of those brides that thinks the dress is the most important item for the wedding. I will get something simple off the rack or used somewhere. Hopefully sometime soon. Good luck with your dress hunt! Maybe we'll both post some dress pictures in the near future! :-)

I was told the same thing but I bought my dress a couple days after Christmas and I picked it up on Jan 10th. So you may have a little time. My next step is too get it altered, I guess I need to make an appointment for that LOL!! I'm really behind on planning.

if you know the style you like, you could also, get your dress online. A greatsite is outerinner. I purchase my dress and the BM dress from there. Everything came out just like the picture.

I ordered mine in July and it came 3 weeks later! They discontinued my dress like the day before I got there so it came really quick!

Most of the people here have their dress already.

You can definitely still get a dress though. Check out sample sales and preowned sites.

I just got my dress yesterday and my wedding is 6/9. Don't worry. Some places I called made it seem like I would only be able to buy samples due to the quick turnaround, but other places seemed confident that I would get the dress in time, with or without a rush fee. I would get on it quick though!

I ordered mine in the middle of December, and had to pay to have it rushed. Some designers take longer to get in than others though. You may still have time to order with a rush from some designers, otherwise you can always buy a dress off the rack or a sample, or check out the bridal departments in department stores.

I got mine from Alfred Angelo in June. It came in by the middle of July.
