Silk Flowers?

Morning ladies!!!!

Hope all is well, I have a flower question. I remember ages ago someone posting about silk flowers, I have never seen one. Does anyone have any reviews or reccomendations? How authentic do they look? I am having a destination wedding and am trying to way the pro's and cons of me putting something together for the CP's here and shipping them vs. waiting until I get to D.R. and taking a chance on not being satisfied. All suggestions are appreciated.

P.S. I need a stunt double...I miss knotting :-(

Hi there!

Good morning. I'm also having a DW. I recommend checking out the destination wedding board, There are tons of ladies on there who are doing silk flowers. They have good pics in many of their bios. Some do them do their own and others go through a few popular vendors. Many of the bouquets I've seen look amazing. I'll most likely be doing silk flowers also.

Ladysun - Okay..I have seen some amazing silk flowers that some chick on etsy does fro people with DW. I will see if I can find her info.

But, you are all the way in the Carribean's with amazing florals that will be available to you! Do you really want silk, when you will be among the most beautiful flowers on a island? Let me resarch flowers where your destination wedding will be. I'll holla!

I'm loving the conversation between you and Pas! Cracking me up, yes, please don't wear the dress pictured above. And yes, congrats (just in case I haven't already told you that)!

On the flowers, I purchased some artificials from Hobby Lobby to make a bouquet for my bridals which will double as my toss bouquet for the wedding. I really don't know much about artificials, so I'm not sure if what I had was silk or not. But I have posted a pic from my bridals of the bouquet. I thought it looked real enough, only thing I wasn't crazy about it the ends of the stems once cut. Seemed I couldn't get a clean enough cut on them. HTH.

Hey Bro bro, I checked out her stuff nice! Now im thinking about having the resort do my bouquet...im up in the air about the BM's and CP's. the planner at the resort is slow as all hell responding back, im trying to get pics of what they use.

Ladysun - Or you could use floral tape around the ends of the stems. Not sure why that thought is just now coming to me, would have been more helpful...LAST WEEK. Lol. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be fabulous, you are so creative.
