Had a surprise shower!!

Just flew back from FL last night from a long weekend and got TONS of stuff done!! My family/friends are kind of all over the place and I didn’t think I was having a shower. Well, my mom surprised me on Sat afternoon with a shower!! I’ve never been surprised before, but I definety was… thought we were going to the spa for facials but I walked into a French Crepire(sp?) for my shower. It was a small, intimate shower of about 8 but I had so much fun and was so touched. :o) 

My mom is my MOH and my 4 bridesmaids are 2 girls who are each of my two brothers fiancés, and then my fiancés sister and one of his childhood friends who he asked (I never met her). His sister and friend live in TX, but my mom still sent them an invite since they are part of the bridal party. My mom told me after the shower she was upset because neither of them RSVP’d. Both have not really been helpful or anything through the planning process. I emailed them both nicely to basically say “I wanted to make sure you received the invite because my mom put a lot of effort into planning this for me and had not heard back”. Both responded with they were so sorry, but they never received the invite….. My finace said he does not believe it and says his sister lies a lot. I don’t know what to believe and I guess there is nothing I can do, but it bothers me and upsets me that my mom was upset because she has done EVERYTHING to put our wedding together.

    wow, that sucks that they would lie about that.  I don't think that anyone woule have held it against them had they send a kind rsvp declining the invite.  That stinks!!  Glad to hear you had such a good shower, do you have pics?
