Rustic barns in northwest IL suburbs or south east WI

I am looking for a place that has a "rustic barn" feel. My top choice right now is the Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake (I think) and I just saw a website for the Vehe Barn in Deer Park. Does anyone have any suggestions or feedback on either of those places? Thanks!

    The Vehe Farm does not have quite the curb appeal the pictures portray.  I am not sure, either, whether it is currently available for rental.  The town of Deer Park is under "construction" politically at the moment.  The Foundation that originally promoted the Farm and its buildings has disbanded.

    A couple I'm good friends with is getting married at the Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood, IL. It seems to fit the rustic bill pretty well, it just might now be far enough north for you.

    Heritage Prairie Farm in Geneva, IL has a barn, but the reception is usually done under a tent. I've attended a wedding at this venue before.
