Registering - Appointment?

Hi all, reeeeallly dumb question here. Do I need to call Macy's to schedule an appointment to register in store? Or can I just show up? I didn't see anything on their website about how to get started.

    I didn't register at Macy's but the places I did register, I just showed up. I wouldn't go during a super busy time though, like Saturday afternoon.

    I didn't schedule an appointment, just showed up at Macy's.  I signed up online first, though, so when I went the consultant handed us some information with suggested registry items, showed us how the scanner worked, and then sent us off on our way.  If you don't sign up first, I think they have you sit down so that they can sign you up which will probably take longer than necessary.

    ETA: I think that we went on a Saturday in July to one of the busiest malls in Northern VA.  The housewares area wasn't packed and there were only a couple other couples registering at the same time as us.  I think that particular branch plans for more people by having more scanners available, though.
