I think however you did the invitations.. If you invited the Smith Family, I would do an escort card with The Smith Family table 5..  If you invited Tina Jones and guest, I would do it like that on the card. Hope that makes sense :)

I agree with lgrn, and I also think if they're married, they go together. (Mr. and Mrs. Jones)

Oh.. and if you invited everyone in a house, like The Smith Family (parents + their kids), I think if one of their kids is over 18 they get their own card? I might be wrong about this one. I dunno... i'll stop talking now.

sorry if i've confused you further :(

Yes I agree I am inving my cousins by there own invitation but to the same address as my aunt and uncle so my aunt and uncle will have one card and my cousins their own also

I'm giving every couple/single person their own escort card, even if they were all included on one invitation. I might not be doing it the correct way, but I know I've never been to a wedding where I was attached to my parents on an escort card - even when the invitation came to Mr. and Mrs. SO-and-SO and family.HTH!

However, I also don't have any children at my wedding - not sure how you direct children to their children's table. Sorry I can't say anything about this..

Since I did the escort cards on my computer (people thought I had them professionally done!!! - totally made my night!)  I did couples on one card and singles with guests (or no guests) on one card as well.

We had the flower girl and ringbearer each on their own card (so they felt special)

Thanks ladies! Dee: how did you do singles and guest? Did you write guest or their name?

I'm with Jeni10...each individual gets their own card.  I don't have too many "and guests" that I won't know their name, so I can just ask the handful of people that are bringing a guest what that person't name is.  I've never been to a wedding where each guest didn't have their own card.

I've been the "and guest" to plenty of weddings where the bride made a point to find out my name and give me my own card, or include it with my date's name. It was a nice gesture on the bride's part, from the "and guest's" point of view.
