  • WR: Got advice on my DIY flower girl basket, going to try and figure it out soon (left the basket at my parents house, as that's where I'll do the project)!!  My aunt made it official that she is making my veil!!!  Got to see an example bouquet from my cousin who's helping with my flowers (and we talked a bit about the 2 female ushers and corsages vs. bouts for them)!!  Also, talked to another cousin who is the photographer about a second set of engagement pics (her idea) this summer as well as different pics for the wedding!!!

NWR: Friday went to see my cousins' band (3 cousins are in it) "Small Town Fugitives" play at a cafe near my hometown!!  Had a blast with my aunt, parents, and FI listening to the music (and saw a girl from my graduating class who I haven't seen in years)!!!  My Dad, Aunt, and I all got free tshirts (I'm wearing mine today)!! :)

Saturday- there was a joint birthday party for 2 of my little cousins (one is 8, one is 6, they are siblings) which was super fun (and the food/cake was absolutely delicious)!!  My cousin made the cakes, one was a "peace sign" cake, and the other was an in depth army/halo style cake (complete with trees, hills, guns, bombs, airplanes, and little army guys ALL OVER IT), my cousin is an amazing food DIY person!!  Then watched Soul Surfer (the Bethany Hamilton movie) in the afternoon while trying to convince my Dad NOT to cut up a perfectly good sleeping bag for hiking when he has one that will work fine in one piece.  Around 6 probably we went to my Aunts house, cracked open a box of wine (and beer for the guys) and just hung out snacking until probably midnight!!!  We had peanut M&Ms, Scooby Doo Graham Bones, and a cheeseball with Ritz Crackers!!!  Yummy!!! :)

Sunday - had a relaxing AM with my Mom and FI (Dad went for a 2.5 hour walk), and had leftovers for lunch (we all slept through breakfast lol)!!!  Had a relaxing afternoon where we watched an encore presentation of the Dancing With the Stars premiere!!!  Had delicious chicken enchiladas for dinner, and when we got back home FI and I watched an episode of Scrubs and fell asleep!!

It was an INCREDIBLY fun and relaxing weekend for us (except FI brought his tax office with him and worked for 6 hours, but he feels better now after doing it)!!!

  • WR: Nothing, it was FI's birthday so we took a break.

NWR: Saw two of my best friends, and celebrated FI's birthday all weekend.  We threw him a mini surprise party on Friday, and then I made a crazy awesome cookie dough cake for him on Sunday, which took nearly four hours to finish due to all of the components.  We also saw 21 Jump Street on Saturday, which was enjoyable (probably in large part due to the fact that we went in with 0 expectations.)

  • WR: Made my bridesmaid & my bouquets!  This was bothering me because I wanted to buy bouquets from the Farmer's Market that morning and make them, but got to thinking I'll have so many other things on my plate that day (hair, getting dressed, setting up, etc).  So I got fake flowers on sale and I've been sitting on them a month and finally got to arranging them and was able to make them look decent (previous quick attempts had failed).  So relieved!

NWR: Met up with high school friends I haven't seen in over a year!  Celebrated my Aunt's birthday.  Went to the kick-off party for my triathlon club/team.  Got my weekend long run in.  Helped clean up at the skydive club & made a jump on a "new-to-me" canopy.  Got my 300th geocache.  Cooked burgers on the grill & had turtle custard while enjoying a movie with FI.

  • WR: We ordered our invitations, and we also finished both of our registries.

NWR: On Friday, we went out to dinner and saw The Hunger Games to celebrate a friend's birthday.  Saturday night, we had friends over for a grill-out.
  • WR: Nothing much- got my flower girl wands in the mail from etsy- they came out great! Found some cafe lights from another knottie and picked those ups. Bought wedding night lingerie (heh) and inquired about a hotel near there.

NWR: My younger brother was in town to take the FDNY test and we celebrated his birthday with mini golf and Italian ices. I cleaned our freezer- which REALLY needed it- and made a blueberry-maple pie on Sunday. And we spent a whole day trying to get a urine sample from one of our cats for the vet- sheesh!

  • WR- Got wedding band, finished up registry, got signed up for tuxes and fitted!
NWR it was my sprinf break so I got to go home see the families, go to lunch with my grandma, and then got sick all weekend. :-( however I was well enough on Friday to go shoot some sage rats with my fiance. And my little sister had her dance team state competention and her team got 2 in the category of hip hop!
    Anniversary PersonalMilestone
  • WR: Finally set a date to meet with the local priest to get all the correct documentation to our church in California.  I did a lot of research on honeymoon-related stuff.  Tried to book flights out to CA for our wedding but they'd gone up so we're waiting untl midweek this week.  I'm also trying to decide where to book our wedding night hotel.  I've been really frustrated lately because booking flights and getting our honeymoon set has really been weighing on me lately, but I feel like obstacles keep standing in the way (e.g. not being sure of timelines, booking one thing being contingent on another, etc.).  Oh well, it will get done.

NWR: went for an 18 mile pike ride up to Fairmont Park to see the cherry blossoms.  Went for a short run on Sunday, then had dim sum with friends.

  • WR - Started on the map to go with directions for our invite insert. Ordered STDs because Mom decided she wanted them (she didn't 4 months ago when they should have gone out). It will be a mad rush starting Tuesday (when they arrive) to get them mailed out by the weekend. I still do not have addresses for 60% of my guest list.

NWR: Well the 5" of snow we got in one day this week was interesting. We had only 2 other days with snow on the ground this winter but nothing more than a trace. My MOH got married this weekend! Friday we delivered some stuff she was borrowing for her reception and I helped set up a few tables. Saturday was the wedding so not much else was done that day. Sunday I didn't do much of anything.
