Anyone there? My boss closed the office today due to the snowstorm, so I'm home and still in pajamas. Snow is still coming down outside, although lighter than last night. It took H twice as long to get to work as it usually does.

How was everyone's Christmas?

I wish our office was closed. The only time businesses shut down around here is for hurricanes. But, our main sales office is in Spokane and they've been super slow lately (possibly due to snow storms?) so hopefully we can go home early today.

Christmas was great, except for the phone call I got from my grandma Christmas night telling me my great-great uncle (who I am very close to) is going to die soon. Seriously, the call couldn't have waited until Sunday? It bummed me out for the rest of the weekend.

I'm sorry, Seshat. That's so sad. And yeah, I hate it when family does that. I know she probably thought she was acting in your best interests (so you would know beforehand) but I can see how that would really bum you out.

Morning! It is decidedly not snowing here...I took a cold shower this morning because it was already hot. Christmas was sweaty but otherwise fine. H got me Lego Harry Potter for PS3, which I wanted, so I'm excited

Thanks. And yeah, I understand why she called but still. Plus, he's 98 so it's no secret he's not doing well. I'm going to write him a letter tonight just to say hello (we write letters old school, he hates computers but loves writing letters).

Also, I just found out we got snow flurries in the northside last night. I thought I lived in Florida, but apparently my state is having a temper tantrum and throwing us into below-freezing temps.

Morning! Christmas was great. My dad got us a new (big) TV. So J was stoked due to his massive amount of sports-watching. It wasn't too cold here but it was nice. This morning it is 39 and extremely cold (for me at least :P).

Yay for snow days!

I am the only idiot that came to work today. They didn't officially close the office, and since I am new and have only ever worked for companies who didn't take snow days, I came. I guess it's good because I don't have vacation time to use yet so I wouldn't get paid to be home, but it's seriously pissing me off that I am the only one who showed up because they didn't update the hot line.

The highways aren't too bad. The back roads are awful though. My car spun like a top.

Morning! I got up and was all like "Oh, it's 8:00, I'll be on time for the good morning thread!" And then I remembered I'm still in the effing central time zone. Oh well.

I'm here for a couple more days for a couple of wrap-up wedding meetings (gotta go to the tux place, get what is hopefully my final dress fitting, final meeting with the florist and bakery) since I don't plan to be back here until the week of the wedding, barring some kind of disaster.

I had a pretty uneventful Christmas - my family is small, boring, and crotchety. The biggest thing I wanted for Christmas was new tires, so I just got a couple shirts and a couple other small things from my parents so I would have something to open. From FI, I got a Coach swingpack and a gift certificate to the salon/spa I go to so I can go get a massage instead of just a haircut

I suppose the best thing is that we actually had a white Christmas here. I've been so bummed every year for the past 8 years to leave behind a white Cleveland for a brown St. Louis..... But there was like 3 inches of snow on Christmas Eve, so it worked out nicely :-D.

I didn't sleep well last night, I just have been so depressed recently. So, after H left for work, I crawled back in bed for awhile and woke up to our neighbor blasting his music.

I might venture out today or I might just stay in an get some stuff done, I dunno yet.

I slept really poorly last night and woke up feeling bad. I am not looking forward to H being gone for a month, and I'm worried about Lola feeling lonely since our friend finally got his house and is probably going to take Nala in the next couple days, so Lola will be friend-less and dad-less.

Morning! I'm pretty much having a craptastic morning - but I'm determined to think positively.

H's dad is staying in our guest room (yay first guest in the new house!) however, he smokes and "it's too cold to smoke outside" so that Em-Effer smoked in my guest bathroom last night "with the fan on so it won't stink up the house" ...NOT COOL.

I'm jealous of your snow, we had flurries yesterday, but that doesn't count.

Aww, Missy - I'm sending cheerful thoughts your way - and I want to smack your neighbor. Few things annoy me more than people not being respectful of others when it comes to noise. Y'all live in an apartment right? Aggravating. I used to have the worst roommates - they would play Rock Band at 3am in the livingroom which was right next to my room. I'm so anal when it comes to noise!

Emily - no we ended up not going. I feel kinda like an idiot getting all worked up over nothing. And then I was actually getting excited and ready to go and get away for a few days. Boss texted him on Christmas day and told him he was clear on this one.

LDY - yeah, we do the apt thing for now. it seems like we get stuck with rude people no matter where we live here. Our old neighbors on the other side of our bedroom did the exact same thing at 3am on a weeknight. We pounded on the walls and I even complained to the office. It subsided for a while and then started right back up again. We have a lot of military where we live, so they have funky hours and such, when they have to report and what not. We are about 20 minutes from Ft Gordon which is a huge military training base for all the branches of the armed forces.

Thanks for the good vibes, I sure could use it. I think its just a combo of factors, not liking it here, not being in school, not having any money to do jack and of course not being home for Christmas. I was okay Christmas day, but yesterday everything just hit me all at once.

Good Morning, well almost afternoon here. I was the only one in the office for a little while (after a very slippery drive in this morning). A few people have showed up, but I'm the only coordinator here which means all managers that need assistance come to me. Yay! (no really) I'm hoping to get out of here about 3 so I can run to the pharmacy and get on the roads before everyone else does.
