So FI & myself went to our reception venue last night. We wanted to just ask questions, finalize plans & the menu. Just get a feel for everything & pay up some. Little back story, Indiana established a no smoking ban in July, so they had told me my quests couldn't go from reception hall to bar through the inside doors. That they would have to go outside & around the building to get drinks. Needless to say this was not ok with me & I kind of went off. Which got us our own bar & bartender in the reception hall. Well when we arrived yesterday I noticed new doors between the rooms. So I asked. Now our guests CAN go from hall to bar inside, so no need for an extra bartender. Then I whip out the check book & go to write the check for the hall & she tells me the price. I said no I want to pay it in full. She says that is in full!!! What!!! They knocked the price of the room down to HALF!!!!!!!! So we now only pay 1/2 of what we thought for the room, & they're throwing in the table clothes for free!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!
