I ordered my SAVE THE DATES!! They are supposed to look like a football ticket (since we're getting married at a football stadium and love college football and all)
What do you think? (Edit: I made them using photoshop)

Also, bad news, my Boilers lost to the stupid Irish, and Virginia Tech couldn't pull it out against Boise State (despite a rather remarkable comeback). Both were good games, and have me optimistic for the rest of the year. Who was it that went to the VT vs. BSU game?

That LSU game ended up being exciting! Congrats on that one (on holding on).
[QUOTE]I was the one that went to the Boise vs VT game. Sooo dissapointing. Someone forgot to invite VT's defense. I hope Bud Foster rips them a new one... And I don't know if I would have called Boise underdogs. Sports pundits were predicting them to win and they are ranked #3 in the nation. VT was number #10.

"If onlys"
If only VT had shown up in the first quarter.
If only we hadn't missed that field goal.
If only we'd gotten one more first down.
If only the defense had been able to stop (AT ALL!) Kellen Moore on that last drive.
At least we can recover. And I thougth we played really well. I can't believe that Tyrod didn't fall down on that one run. Now we have to cheer for Penn State who is playing Alabama this weekend. (And whomever is playing other undefeated teams for the next 11 weeks).
One good thing about college football to remember is that losses in September don't mean as much as losses in November. I have to keep repeating this phrase to myself this week (and the rest of the season) as I'm pretty sure my Nittany Lions will not beat Alabama on Saturday.
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: AW - For all you FB and STD fans out there : Yeah, there were a lot of "if only's" at that game. We were just so close! Gah... I can't believe we've lost our opening game 4 years in a row! That's embarrassing. We better just kick ass the rest of the season.

That's true. And at least it wasn't the trouncing by LSU three years ago (with Sean Glennon pouting on the sideline). I really think we can still do our usual win the ACC and go to a BCS bowl. That national championship is just so elusive.

I was at the game! We got tickets from a family friend and got to attend the President's brunch. It was really cool, but I'm sorry Purdue lost. My mom went there so I feel your pain :)
I hope you were wearing black and gold!
And thank you for hating ND. It's a great club to be in!

That's true! It has worked in VT's favor in the past. And I WILL be cheering for Penn State this weekend (as I do for all Big Ten teams when they play out of conference opponents).
