Ahh ok. See, I adore Taylor Swift, but I've always said that I'll never go see her live because, well, she's not that good of a singer. I love that she writes her own songs and that she doesn't try to be anyone she's not, but I much prefer the sound of her voice once it's been edited.
I like her akwardness in interviews and acceptance speeches. I think it's cute. She always seems surprised/amazed to find herself so famous and successful, and I love that. I can see how it would be grating during a concert, though.

Oh I totally agree. I really do like her music and I think it's so awesome how she's always been so humble. I was really disappointed because when I saw her I had no idea she sounded that bad live. I mean it wasn't the worst but it was like "Oh hey you don't really sound like your cd"
Now Kenny Chesney sounds the exact same in concert as he does on his Cd. hahah I am in love with him even though I'm pretty sure he's gay. haha
Oh, Kenny... I've loved a couple of his ballads. "Anything But Mine" and "You Save Me" come to mind immediately. Most of his stuff, though... meh, I could take it or leave it. You're right, though, he sounds the same live as he does recorded. George Strait is the same way, I think.
Ah, I love geeking out about country music. Despite where I live, I don't have a ton of friends who like it.

Every year here in Cheyenne we have this HUGE thing called Frontier Days and it's a week long. It's all thing country, there's rodeos, night concerts, a carnival and all that good stuff, and we always have all these huge stars who come. Kenny came, Georde came, Carrie Underwood was supposed to come but she backed out stating that she can't support animal cruelty. I kind of lost respect for her after that. We have a huge rodeo here every year. Every night for two weeks, there's a full rodeo (bull riding, bronc riding, calf-roping, chuck wagon races, etc.) followed by a big-name country concert. Sounds like the same kind of deal.
Anyway, I go at least once every year, but I always try to get there late so that I miss most of the rodeo events. I don't like the stuff that involves animals. The bull-riding I'm ok with, I guess, but the calf-roping makes me want to cry.

I can totally understand. My very good friends are ranch owners and participate every year! What most people don't understand is that all of the animals that are used in rodeos are very well taken care o.! They have the best vets on hand in case any of the animals get hurt.
One year I was watching the goat tying and this poor little goat got the wind knocked out of him and all you could hear was his like "wahh". I felt so bad for the poor little guy but they took him right out and got the vet over to make sure he was ok.
Yeah, I know that they're well-cared for. It's not so much that I worry about them being hurt, I just hate to see them so obviously terrified while they run for their little lives from the cowboys. Being scared like that is no fun.
For the same reason, I can't watch wildlife shows where I have to see a gazelle or ostrich get taken out by a tiger. It makes me so sad to see them going about their merry ways, then look around and experience such obvious panic...
i'm just too sensitive when it comes to animals. I have no problem eating meat, though.
I didn't watch them, because I don't really like award shows but I do love so many of these artists.
And I actually really enjoyed Taylor Swift live when I saw her- it wasn't perfect, but I wasn't expecting that either. From what people had told me I expected her to be bad, and I found her far better than that so I was pleased
And I was soo close to seeing Miranda Lambert last year but she was performing the day I was leaving at the Calgary Stampede
