recuerdos mexicanos

Im having a traditional mexican wedding. The theme is Boda charra. The groomsmen will be in charro attire(traje de gala). Does anyone have any suggestions on mexican party favors?Laughing

Im trying to do something similar. I planning on putting la rosa mazapan and a few canel's in my wedding colors throughout the tables. As for the favors, what can be better than bottled salsa with personalized labels

Doesn't charro mean cowboy? Is this attire like the outfits you'll see in mariachi bands? Or on certain singers ocassionally? Just curious to hear about it :)

Charro is more mariachi than Vaquero.  Sounds like some awesome pics!

Charro and mariachi is two different things. A charro is a part of the mexican charreada scene aka vaquero for the mexican rodeo. Mariachi is a musician. Both of our families are part of the charreria. Its a very tradiational sport here in the USA and Mexico. Remember never call a charro a mariachi they will get offended jaja lol

Thank you girls for your ideas . I was also thinking maybe a little basket with dulces mexicanos. Laughing

I know they're not the same. But I asked if their attire is similar to what you see on mariachi bands?

I like the personalized salsa/hot sauce, but I know FI would hate that idea.  You could do traditional Mexican bread if you want an edible favor, or maracas and people could shake them to make you kiss, like they would with bells or forks on glasses.....what is something that is meaningful to you that you could make into a favor?

I've seen it once, but, baskets of pan dulce (wrapped in cellophane, of course) were probably the most practical/ fun/ delicious recuerdos I've ever seen.
