I hadn't even thought about it. Is 6 months customary?

    6-9 months is the norm.

We're sending ours out sometime in September.

We're sending them out between Oct and Nov the 6 to 7 month mark. We have epix mid August and I'm assuming takes 3 to 6 weeks to get them which brings us to Sept Oct timeframe for the STD's.

First week of November sounds great to send em out. We're just doing a basic postcard so we don't have to worry about the epix or a magnet or whatever.

I wanted to send them in September, but I might do August.  My FSIL is sending her wedding invitations in September and I don't know if people will get them confused or something.  August is 9 months, so it's not unreasonable.

Sending mine out in September since the wedding's MDW.

Usually 6-9 months is a good range :-)

I already sent mine (I sent them last thursday) since my wedding is on a friday and about 85% of my guest are OOT. So many people have called thanking me for sending it out so early because they were able to take the time off and start saving to travel to the wedding. But it really just depends on the circumstances. I think 6-9 months is usually the rule of thumb.
