Joe's at Caesars brides

Most of the reviews I read are good, any complaints? Did you do the pie for dessert or bring in cake? What were your favorite items? Is the semi private room also pretty? The Gigi room might be a little too high for us.

We are choosing the Exclusive dinner which comes with 3 choices of pie.  There are about 10 main entree choices to choose from so you pick what you want and the guest will have a decision at that time.  :-)

There are also about 10 dessert choices....again you choose 3 for your guests to choose from and you get personalized menus at each table.

The food and beverage min is $3000.  I'm not sure if they raied the min or not.  YES you can bring in your own cake and they will cut it for FREE.  NO charges like other places and their cake cutting fees.

I'm not familiar with the semi-private room.

  • We are having our reception at Joe's in May and I echo Diamond - Beth is amazing, I couldn't have hoped for anyone more helpful or resposive.  We are also using the GIGI room and choosing the Exclusive dinner.  I just checked my contract and the room minimum is $5000.00 - we booked in September '11.

We're having cake pops as favors so our guests can try their pies for dessert.  My mother is dying to try the key lime as she has read so many great reviews about it online. LOL.

I've only seen great reviews about the space and the food - so I'm hoping it's all true and we won't be disappointed!

This could be true.............all I know is that is a LOW food and beverage min. so I'll say it's $5,000.  I'll have to find my menu to give you an idea.

I really, really, really wanted to have our reception at Joe's, but I think our numbers will be too high (still in very early stages of planning).  I will say, however, that I have eaten at both the Joe's in Chicago and the Joe's at Caesars and both meals were excellent!   Oh and we tried the key lime pie and it was SO freakin' good.

  • We are also doing our reception at Joe's in July. I have heard great things!!! For all you Joe's brides, are you all doing centerpieces?
  • Diamond - your menu looks almost exactly the same as ours :)  I agree about the room minimum - I just wasn't sure when you booked, thought I might have missed out on a great deal!!

kelly - we are doing centrepieces from the Palette.  Pam has been wonderful to work with.  We are just doing small 8" (I think) silver urns with hot pink gerberas & roses.

  • I'm doing small flower cube centerpieces. They only allow LED and no open flame.

  • I received a quote from Pam for 450. Our wedding will only be about 40 people so no need for a large amount of tables. I told her I wanted purple tulips and for it to be super simple. I just can't get myself to spend 450 for 6 centerpieces. Did she quote you something more reasonable?
  • That's pretty close to what I'm spending - we're only having ~ 40 people too.  Actually I think it was $40 per centerpiece plus tax and delivery so maybe more like just shy of $400 when all is said and done.

  • PAM AT THE PALETTE HAS BEEN AMAZING!!!!!  I AM GETTING ALL OF MY FLOWERS....BOUQUET, BM FLOWERS, BOUTS, CENTERPIECES, WRISTLETS FOR THE MOMS, DADS BOUT, MY FLOWER GIRL AND BOYS FLOWERS ALL FOR UNDER $700.

LOVE LOVE LOVE HER AND SHE'S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ON THIS BOARD.  Everyone else wanted over $1000 and another was $2000....I can't spend that much on my wedding and Pam IMO is the way to go.

I hope I have time to enjoy it.  lol  I know we will have to make our rounds.  So far we have a gurantee of 45 ppl coming and our RSVP date isn't until May so I might be in for a suprise.  I am not having a DJ....just a nice sit down dinner.  We will do the first dance and cake cutting just not a clubbin reception.

  • How much are their alcohol options? I didn't see alcohol in the packages.
  • I didnt see alcohol options either and when asked about it they just said that it would be by purchase. Also they gave me a FB min of 3k for a Tuesday night. But I only have 30 people and don't think we will meet that do I am pretty sure I will have to go with the semi private.
  • So alcohol is by consumption? That makes budgeting tricky. Though, I suppose most people can estimate how much their guests will drink. The trick comes when you have guests who take two sips, set their drink down, forget where they left it, and get another. That usually only happens at big weddings, though. It might not happen too often with 30-40 people. Most of our friends keep a firm grip on their beer. ;)

  • Their alcohol is by consumption unless you have 50+ guests and then you can do a package but only for 3 hrs.

I don't know how much the packages are but, below is a quote from an email I received from Beth about the same question:

the beverages would be on consumption at the bar unless you have 50 plus people and you would like to do a beverage package for up to 3 hours.  If you want to do a 4 hour then it would be on consumption.  We could also put a limit towards the bar if you wanted and let you know when you are getting close to hitting it to have the bar go cash or to have it stay hosted.

  • Blehhhh... I hate the idea of the bar going to cash at a certain point. Cash bars are rude, especially when everyone has been getting free drinks and then all of a sudden they have to pony up.

Thanks for the info. :) Now that we've postponed our date, we have more time to save money and explore other options.
  • I also hate the idea of having guests pay for their drinks after they have been hosted for the majority of the event.  We are NOT going that route and are fortunate enough to be able to host for the full 4 hours.  Just wanted to share the options that were provided to us.

Oh, no, that wasn't directed at you. I'm sorry. :) That was just my initial reaction to thinking about a hosted-then-cash bar. I knew you were just presenting that as an option for other brides.
  • wrigley - I didn't think it was directed at me.  No need to be sorry! Didn't mean for it to come off that way!
