USPS - are you serious!?

After talking to my BM this morning - I find out that the invite I sent out a MONTH ago still hasnt gotten there!! Are you fing kidding me?!

I know it wasn't postage because I had them double check the cost and it was 1 stamp. So it's lost somewhere... so I had to mail out a new one today.

But it makes me wonder who else hasn't gotten an invite! UGhhhhh..  I guess I get to make phone calls at the end of the month.

  • I know that feeling!!! My BM hasn't gotten her's either and I sent it Jan 2nd. It also makes me wonder because I'm still waiting on 45 out of 60 RSVP's. grr! They've also lost a $2000 cashiers check that I mailed out on the 9th (it's PO Box so I can't fedex) so I'm gonna have to cancel it and send ANOTHER ONE THE SAME FLIPPIN WAY. ugh. I would be so happy if I never had to mail anything again.

I secretly love fedex. Thats ridiculous!!
I sent ours out on 12/28 and it's really making me wonder because out of the 40 OOT one's I've sent I've gotten 7 back. Ughh. Thank goodness we have extra invites - but I still can't imagine them losing so many! :/ makes me nervous

  • I'm worried about this, too. I got A CHRISTMAS CARD returned to me Saturday marked "undeliverable" that was mailed over a month ago! No wonder they're loosing money!
  • I'm just mad that they raised the price of stamps today, so now all those postcard rsvps I sent out have a very slim chance of coming back to me. :(

Well this could explain why we haven't got a lot of RSVP back yet either.I have been thinking it was just my friends and family being slackers and not sending them back. I hope to get some in the mail today.

  • Wendy as long as you used a forever stamp they are still being honored and there shouldn't be any problems returning the RSVP.

[QUOTE]I would be ticked.  I'm so glad most of my invites will only be traveling a 15 mile radius.  There are only a few going out of state so hopefully it won't take forever to get there.

Yeah - my BM is two towns over - but I did get good news from her! She FINALLY got it on Saturday.  19 DAYS LATER!!! Why would it take that long to go 2 towns over??? AHHHH!!

  • I'm glad she got it!!
We aren't any where near any of our family at all - so the bulk of the invites had to travel a pretty decent distance - all were out of state. Those who were actually in state, most of them were handed out versus mailed.

  • Oh geez. I don't even want to think about this. I sent my invites on Friday. I know for a fact that at least one was delivered on Saturday. I mailed one to our house, so I'm hoping that we get that tomorrow or Wednesday as a good 'test' of when our guests will get them! (PS I mailed them from NY but live in AZ).

This! I did this even though it cost a little more because I did not want to risk them not coming back. I saw a bride freak out at the post office one day because she had to add an ugly 1 cent stamp to the rsvp cards.
