Restaurant Reception (on a budget)

My fiance and I have exhausted every possible reception venue option that doesn't involve a ballroom (I did NOT want the standard ballroom wedding reception) and have come to the realization that my dad isn't going to help, so we are footing the bill for everything (except the honeymoon, which is a gift from his parents). We were so focused on Wedding Venues that we overlooked out favorite restaurants as possible reception sites. We will be going to McCormick and Schmick's downtown on Saturday to meet with the catering coordinator. We've been there several times and we love the service and the food, but we didn't even know they have private rooms, both private and facing the inner harbor. Has anyone attended/held a reception at a restaurant? Pros? Cons? Note: the restaurant offers lunchs and dinners for parties over 20 (my reception will be ~100 ppl) and the prices are FAB (~$30/person not including bar service)

We're planning on having our reception at a restaurant.  I think it's great if you don't want a traditional wedding reception, plus usually you don't have to pick out table linens and dinnerware and all that stuff.  The only con I guess would be if you wanted to have a dance floor - I suppose you could clear a space at the restaurant for dancing (we're not having any dancing so I don't know how that would work!)
