I was just at a service center for my Toyota and was told for the first time (despite bringing my car to another Toyota service center several times in the past three years) that three of my tires are top of the line (through none of my own doing... apparently the previous owner had a nice-size wallet) while one of them is a no-name brand tire and is the complete wrong size for my car. On top of that, all four tires need to be changed anyway because they barely have any tread left (I knew this just from looking at them, but I was hoping to delay the inevitable for as long as possible).
The service center gave me a couple options in different price ranges depending on the tire, and all include the 4 tires, installation, 24-month road hazard, and lifetime complimentary rotations.
However, I'm wondering if I could get some better prices on decent quality tires elsewhere. I'm thinking Costco, Sears, etc.
Any suggestions? Where do you all get your tires from?
PS - I know there are some good prices out there on "gently used" tires, but I'd really prefer a set of new ones.
