I got my jewelry from JCPenney. It's their line of simulated diamonds so it looks real, but it was so inexpensive. And the ladies at the one in the Christiana mall will make a deal with you. My necklace and earrings were originally about $500, but I got the set for $125!

I like some of the costume jewelry at Macys.  I guess it depends on what style and how much you want to spend, on whether or not you want real jewelry.  I'm probably buying costume jewelry because I want something flashy (my dress is really plain) and I will probably never have an opportunity to wear it again so I don't want to spend a lot of money for just one day, even if it is a very special day!

I too got my jewelry from JCP.  However, my husband works there and got his discount.  I really LOVE pearls, so I picked out the necklace and earrings I wanted, and he gave them to me for xmas last year.

I would look at the after Christmas sales in the mall.  I have purchased alot of jewelry from Zales and those places for the same as departments stores directly after Christmas.

You might also want to check out the QVC outlet at Prices Corner.  I have seen some very nice inexpensive simulated diamond necklaces (some with sim rubies and sapphires), earrings, bracelets, and cocktail rings.  They also carry Kenneth Jay Lane (KJL) and Nolan Miller who both have exquisite pieces.  Often the jewelry is 40-70% off of the outlet price.....after discount prices are fabulous. Happy shopping!!

Ditto on the QVC- I know Mrs.Carina got some of hers there, and you can get a TON of bling there without spending a bunch!  Just a note, make sure you take a number at the jewelry counter, or you won't get waited on.

Also, take a drive down to the Outlets in Rehoboth and see what you can find there- I know there is a Zales outlet down there, plus many, many other stores (including a Claires/Icing) where you may be able to find great deals.

Good Luck- if I think of anywhere else that's a "hidden gem" (no pun intended LOL), I will let you know!

How ironic...I've heard alot of people mention QVC but I prefer not buying anything w/o physically seeing it...so my FH occasionally does work at the QVC offices in West Chester, PA and I asked him if there were outlets out there....well he had no idea so it's really nice to know there is an outlet at prices corner(I live right around the block from there and I can't believe I never noticed).

I haven't been on for a while since my wedding but was just looking around again!

I got my jewelry on etsy.com.  There are tons of girls that can create what you want.  I was so happy with how mine turned out.
