I'm pretty sure Dahlgreen Golf Course allows 200, same with Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference Center. HTH!

Stonebrooke Golf Course in Shakopee.  We had around 200.  I know they can hold at least 230.  It's beautiful there!

I saw many venues in the Twin Cities and my final choice was Oak Ridge Confrence Center and Hotel in Chaska.  My reception will be in the Seasons Restaurant.  Beautiful and modern, nestled in a woodsy area with a lake.  I also liked how I can have pieces of my reception outside but there is backup space inside at no additional charge.

Have you checked the MN arboretum?  I don't know how many that place holds but it is beautiful.

Arborteum. When we were going to do a spring wedding, I was looking at Bear Path. It was beautiful and very decently priced!! It's gated, but anyone can go!

I looked at Bearpath as well because my good friend's parents live there and the clubhouse there is crazy nice. Unfortunately, there are A LOT of hidden fees plus you're required to have a resident write a 'recommendation' letter for you and basically sponsor you. That turned me off even though I know my friends' parents.

Dahlgreen is beautiful, we were originally going to have our reception there. We decided against it because there is no official dance floor so we would have to rent one. Also, we have over 200 guests, and to dance tables would have to be moved to allow access to the dance floor making it VERY crowded. However, it is a reasonably priced venue and so gorgeous we were sad to give it up.

This is my #1 place! I just made the apt today to see it! Did you have your ceremony there? I'm worried because she said that they can only set up chairs for 30 people for the ceremony.

We did not have our ceremony there.  But yea I knew they weren't able to seat many people for a ceremony.  They do have a huge deck that people stand on I know during ceremonies.  If you didn't mind your guests standing this would work but if you're going to have a long ceremony that probably wouldn't work.  I freaking love it there though!! We had soooo many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how good the food was.

If you can make it work, I highly recommend them :) Deb is soooooooo easy to work with and very nice!

I think that they sometimes host events at Parley Lake Winery/Deardorff Orchard just west of Victoria... but you'd need to rent a tent and it's likely ridiculously expensive.  Also, there's Turtle's 1890 Social Centre  just south across the river in Shakopee!

Oakridge and the Arboretum are definitely beautiful choices, too!  Oakridge has three different options for reception spaces... but that means that on popular weekends, there can be three different weddings going on all at once.  I'd guess that the Arboretum is more expensive than Oakridge.

I used to DJ weddings and played at Stonebrooke quite a bit -- I can't ditto the bolded parts enough!
