Family Officiant Rules for state?

I have been trying for-e-ver to search the web and find out if internet-ordained family or friends can marry you in TN. I can't find it!

Does anyone know of a website that will link me directly to the rules? Everything I have seen so far is very ambiguous and I can't figure it out.

TIA!

  • I had the same problem. I ended up calling my county clerks office and asked them.
  • Oh, duh, that would be an easy solution! LOL Thank you! I guess I'll have to wait until next week to figure it out! :-)

  • No problem. I understand your stress. I spent days trying to figure it out online until I finally called.

They'll probably be open tomorrow since it'll only be Christmas Eve Eve and not Christmas Eve. You could at least try to call! I would be way too antsy to wait until after Christmas. Haha
