Make-up- here or there?

I'm getting married in Athens.  This is about an hour from where I live.  Should I be looking for someone to do my make-up and hair in Athens or should I get it done here?  It's probably easier to get it done in Athens, no?

    Do you plan on getting any pictures at your home?  Where is your makeup artist located? Do they charge mileage?

    It will be a little fresher if you get it done in Athens.  However I got my hair done at 11am, did my own makeup at 2pm, and they lasted all the way to midnight. 

    Also like pp said, if you want professional photos of getting your hair done that might affect your decision. 

    My photog showed up at about 3pm and he recreated the makeup shots - had me pretend to put on mascara and lip gloss just for the photos.  Worked out fine and I was happy with it.

    Thanks; I might look around in Athens for hair and make-up.  I had thought to get it done in the Conyers area but I plan to be in Athens very early that day to get things done at the chapel so this is making more sense to me now.... anyone know of any good salons or make-up artists in Athens?

    I would get it done in Athens so you can relax and not worry about making it to where you need to be in full hair and makeup.
