Couples Only Resort in Hawaii

Does anyone have any recommendations for a couples-only all inclusive resort in Hawaii?

Re: Couples Only Resort in Hawaii

  • Nope. There aren't any.

There's a partial AI on the Big Island (Kona Village), but it's not adults only and it's for people who really want to get away: no telephones, internet or tv. But, if that's your thing, you'd probably enjoy!

Besides, the best part about Hawaii is that there's so much to do (and see and eat) off the hotel sites, an AI would be a total waste of the Hawaiian experience.
  • I agree.  You would miss way to much if you stayed at an all-inclusive, which does not exist anyway.  The fun of Hawaii was exploring!  We stayed on 2 islands and 3 different hotels/B&Bs for our HM.

  • Ya no AI in HI, but we stayed at one hotel in Maui for our entire HM (6 days). Having a hotel that had many amenities was perfect because there was two full days where we didn't even leave our hotel. Although, we are not the most explorative couple, we like to relax and lay by the pool and eat. haha If you are like that I would suggest finding a hotel with multiple restaurants, large pool, beach side, and plenty of lounging areas.

  • Same thing everyone else said- no all inclusive.  I think of all inclusive being at places that you wouldn't really want to venture out of.  We're definitely renting a car and exploring both islands.

We're staying at a resort on both Kauai (6 days) and Maui (5 days).  On Maui it has 2 restaurants, a fast food/snack bar place and a luau, the one on Kauai has 4 restaurants, a sushi bar and a breakfast place.  So if we want to venture out to eat (which we definitely will) we can, and if we want to stay at the resort we have plenty of options.

I looked on the tripadvisor boards and someone inquired about an adults only resort/hotel- posters replied that there aren't any.  The resort we're going to in Maui has a beautiful adults-only infinity pool so I'd look at places that have an adults only pool.

  • I really did not see many kids in Kaui and Maui, so I wouldn't worry about that.  As others have said, I don't think there are many all-inclusives, but you're better off anyway.  There are way too many delicious restuarants to try rather than just staying at your resort.  The only thing that sucks is that drinks are ridiculously expensive at the hotels (like $13 a drink), but it's your honeymoon!
